About The Blank Page
This time and space and support and thought has given me the chance to really explore what I want from a new project. I am grateful for the opportunity that Disconsortia has given me to explore both my art and my social justice. In recent years, I have mainly concentrated on my writing skills in theatre and neglected the devising side of my work. My intention with the seeds of this project is to create work with other queer crips about what it is to dream.
Exhibition Description

About Bex Bowsher Bex Bowsher is a feminist writer and theatre maker based in County Durham. She likes to tell stories that have elements of magical realism and interrogate the status quo - always looking for how the world could be a better, kinder, brighter place. She enjoys making collaborative work and is always searching for new co creators to find new ways of telling stories. Her play ‘Spoon Theory’ at Live Theatre Newcastle was described by one critic as “the next I, Daniel Blake”. She has just finished a year as part of the BBC Writer’s Room’s inaugural Writer’s Access Group. |
